A WinSCP alternative for the object storage era
Fair credit: WinSCP is free, open source, and has moved files for Windows admins for decades. Its automation story is genuinely strong. The reason people land on this page is usually that their work moved to S3 and buckets, and they want a client where object storage is the main event, not a bolted on protocol.

Should you switch?
If your day is mostly SFTP scripts and scheduled jobs, WinSCP's automation may keep earning its place. If your day is buckets, huge listings and big transfers, Varv treats that as the core job: uploads that survive crashes, instant search, version history and presets for every major S3 service. SFTP and FTP come along in the same app.
