Varv

Your AWS profiles, ready to use

If you use the AWS CLI, your machine already has credentials and config files with every profile you work with. Varv reads them, so setting up is recognizing a list, not retyping keys.

Import, do not retype

On first start Varv offers to import from your AWS credentials and config files. Pick the profiles you want as connections; regions and settings come along. The same importer reads exported settings from other transfer apps.

Stored the right way

Imported keys move into Windows Credential Manager, the operating system's own keychain. Varv never writes secrets to its own config files, and there is no cloud account holding a copy.

Least privilege friendly

Varv works fine with narrowly scoped keys. A profile that can only touch one bucket still browses, transfers and creates share links within its permissions. See the Amazon S3 guide for a sensible starting policy.
